I don't love Dora though I do love Theodora even if sometimes the dora part bothers me. It is also how I feel about the name Isidora/ Isadora. I love them but the dora part pokes at me sometimes.

I prefer Thea as a nn to Theo but I love both nn's. Also Thea can be used as a nn for Theodora even if Theo feels slightly more natural.

I think Dottie and Dot are cute nn's for Dorothea and they don't really work for Theodora.

Dorothea and Dorothy are also family names for me. My great grandma Ella who I knew well was Ella Frieda and her mother was Maria Dorothea. Dorothy was my husband's grandmother's name.

I'm a big fan of -dora names for some reason, although I'm not so keen on Dora oddly enough, so I'd have to go Theodora. I don't dislike Dorothea, I just feel like Theodora is stronger and more substantial in terms of sound.

Dorothea. I much prefer Dot names and Theodora is lovely but has a little extra frumpiness to me that Dorothea seems to side step on it's way to adorable.

Dorothea is a nice name, however the 'Doro-' part trips me up a little when having to pronounce it along with tacking '-thea' onto it. It makes it a bit of a tongue twister to me.

Theodora sounds fresher to me. I do like both, though.

Dorothea. I'm not fond of the "dora" at the end of Theodora. I wish more people would like/consider Theodosia instead of Theodora.
