This was my grandma's real name (she always went by a nickname). I might use it as a middle name to honor her.
Ruth is supersweet! I love it. I don't like the sound in Norwegian tho, so I couldn't used it on my own child. But if my family were English-speaking I would definitly thought of Ruth as a potential name for my future daughter. The sound is just so sweet and smooth and calm. In a combo I think it fit best as a middlename.

I have a cousin called Ruth Elizabeth. She's about 8 years old. All the other Ruth's I know are either middle aged and older. Before my cousin was born, Ruth was always and "older" person name to me.
