[Facts] The feminine name Ilhan
Curious if anyone knows the meaning of this name. The first Somali-American legislator's given name is Ilhan (that's I L H A N). (The spelling is the same as a Turkish masculine name listed on this website, but I don't think it's from the same origin?)
Only thing I've found is this: http://www.searchtruth.com/baby_names/names.php?name=Ilhan&letter_meaning=Respectfull,%20nice,%20precious&ntype=f&stype=sname&find=1
That website says that it is a Muslim girls name meaning "respectful, nice, precious". Anyone know if that's accurate? Thanks. :)

I do know a Muslim teenage girl called Ilhaan, which I'd guess is the same. Haven't asked her about the meaning, though.
The Turkish name is definitely different, because it has a well-established Turkish/Mongolian etymology.
For an Arabic feminine name I only find Ilham (with a final "m") here: www.sudairy.com/arabic/fem.html#I with a different meaning. This does not exclude the possible existence of Ilhan as an Arabic name, because there are really many potential Arabic names.

Thank you! I wonder if it is a popular name in Somalia.
Of course.
