I love Maya! I used to prefer Maia (my-UH) but now I think I like Maya (MAY-uh) better. I would spell it depending on how you want to pronounce it. I once looked after a little Maya pronounced my-UH and it confused everyone. I just simply prefer Maya but Maja could work for the my-UH pronunciation as well as Maia.

The My-uh pronunciation for Maya is pretty common in the US I believe so there won't be any confusing there! Interesting!
