That's a lot of Agnes. I don't have an Agnes in my family that I remember from our genealogy.
My husband and I both have a great grandma Maud / Maude. Though his great grandma went by her middle name Nancy because she hated Maude. I also have a great grandma Ella, an Elizabeth who went by Betty, and a Maria / Mary who was born Maria but went by Mary around gringos.
Mar- names are probably the closest in my family to Agnes in yours. I think Maria's mother was also Maria. My nana went by Marian but was born Mariana. She had a sister Maria and a sister Marie. My nana had a daughter Mary who is my favorite aunt. Then my mother chose Marisa for me and my father agreed to it. My mother uses both Marisa pronunciations for me.
On my husband's side there isn't an Agnes either. Other than Nancy / Maude there is a great grandma Elise but everyone hated her. She was just an aweful human being who constantly played mind games and beat her children including her two disabled sons. She was a very mean and very rich woman who never wanted children so she mostly let nannies raise them. It was a family tradition to name the first born daughter Elise and my mother-in-law was the first one in generations to not be named Elise. Even if I loved the name Elise I'd never use it because of the terrible association my husband's family has with it.
Then things get confusing because I don't know all the great grandparents on my father-in-law's side. His adopted mother Dorothy died in a car crash when my father-in-law was a teen. Dorothy had divorced his adopted father David a few years before she died. David was so married to his important work that when Dorothy died my father-in-law and his siblings stayed living with his step father Edwin "Ed" who is also my mother-in-law's paternal uncle so Maude / Nancy was Ed's mother. A little confusing I know. Point is there might be an Agnes in Dorothy or David's family but not one that I know about. My father-in-law doesn't talk much about his mother or father. Most of what I know about Ed was told to me by my mother-in-law.
Agnes used to be a fairly popular name so probably a lot of people have an aunt, or grandma, or great grandma Agnes.
