[Opinions] Re: Ian or James?
in reply to a message by RDNZL
Here I will say that the name Ian has a special meaning to me. My heart thrills and my knees go a little weak whenever I see it and whenever I hear it.
James did that once, too....but that died fairly quickly.
As a name, I've never liked Ian. I think it whiney and somehow insubstantial. I've always liked James, it's strong, handsome, and classic.
You know what? I started out intending to choose James, but James in the end was a dick and Ian will always make my heart thrill.
It's legitimate to associate a name with a person and like it or dislike it due to the association, no?
So Ian it is!
