I'm in favor.
I imagine it probably has a blowsy or prissy dated/mediocre vibe for a lot of people, like Donna or Deanna, but I also think it has been unusual enough that that does not matter. And the fashionable -ella helps.
I actually like Bella just fine. But Della is more my style.
The only trouble I have with it, is that it's "of the." So combos tend to sound phrasey.
I don't agree that D names in general might have a comeback soon. Unless by soon, you mean 20 years from now.
Avoiding Latiny names, nouns, and "important" sounding names as the middle, in order to avoid phrasey combos ... and IMO it can't be a middle name because then it really sounds phrasey...
