[Opinions] Re: Declan
in reply to a message by X
I used to love it, and we considered it when we were expecting our first (we are NOT Irish at all).
I have met a few and it doesn't scream Irish, but it does have a solid and handsome feel. I also have not met many.
If you are not into it though, I would keep looking until you find something you both like.
There are tons of names with similar feels to Declan, it just depends on what your husband likes about the name.
If you give us some parameters we would have a hayday throwing out suggestions.

Good idea. Does husband like Irish names? Or maybe names starting with D?
Or perhaps he just likes it but can't really say why.
We are here to help! :-)

I know that it doesn't matter whether we're Irish or not but that name gives me an image of a stereotypical Irish person and Ireland. I will soon ask him what he likes about it and post asking for suggestions. I also know he likes popular names giving the reason that they are names that people like, I completely disagree with that.
