I think Ollie is a fine nickname for a girl, I would love to use it as a nickname for Olivia myself. Ollie was my great grandmothers name, I don't know if it was her full name or a nickname, but I heard that her full name might have been Althea (not sure of the spelling).
It would work as a nickname for any name beginning with Ol, or possibly Althea, Alethea is the al is pronounced like all. It doesn't work for Ophelia though.
