[Opinions] Sable

It's alright when I first read it I thought it was stable
I think it is alright. It's similar sounding to Mabel so I don't think it's a bad option and the meaning isn't terribly unusual in making traditions. I personally don't like it. To me it is a color I'd only use to describe an animal and a most unappealing old car (my grandparents had a gold Mercury Sable with burgundy fabric interior and that's my first thought).
the car
I drive a Mercury Sable, too. As much as Sable has a nice sound, I can't disassociate...

Doesn't it mean 'sandy' in French? Not good, if so, though Sandy itself is good. Then there's the fur coat problem. I think it's better left to the antelope or the sort of weaselly animal.
That said, it's better than Wildebeest or Kudu.

I used to love Sable growing up. It's still nice but for some reason it strikes me as a stripper name. And I think of the WWE wrestler.
It's a guilty peasure for me. I quite like it but I wouldn't use it. Cinder and Thistle have the same feel to me.
to close to the word Stable
It sounds tacky, like a stripper's name.
First thought, stripper name.
