[Opinions] Names for a Welsh Family

I'm starting to write a story set in rural Wales, perhaps around 1940, and I'm having trouble coming up with names for the main characters. Any opinions on what I have so far will be appreciated as will any suggestions.

So far I'm thinking of using either:

Father - William Thomas.
Mother - Dorothy (nee Wynn) Thomas.
Son - Rhys Thomas.
Son - Robert Thomas.
Son - William Thomas.
Daughter - Elizabeth Thomas.
Daughter - Gaynor Thomas (Not too sure about this one).
Daughter - Lucy Thomas.
Son - Llyr Thomas.

Or:

Father: Iestyn Lloyd.
Mother: Betty (nee Llyr) Lloyd.
Daughter - Nerys Lloyd.
Daughter - Catrin Lloyd.
Son - Alun Lloyd.
Daughter - Nia Lloyd.
Son - Gareth Lloyd (Twin with Sion).
Son - Sion Lloyd (Twin with Gareth).
Son - Iolo Lloyd.
Daughter - Bethan Lloyd.

But I also like Gareth, Dewi and Iestyn Lloyd as siblings and Bryn Lloyd for their father.

Emlyn and Geraint as a sibset I love too. Would Idris and Elinor Llewelyn fit for their parents?

Sorry it's so long but I really can't decide between the "family sets". Any help on which you prefer will really be much appreciated. Thanks!

The second family definitely seems a lot more Welsh to me.

I think, but am not sure, that Gladys is a Welsh name.

Ooh. Myfanwy I really like but I prefer Rhidian to Rhodri though it's still a nice name. Thanks for your input!

I'd go with Lloyd as a first name, rather than a surname. My three cousins (who aren't welsh, but for some reason were all given welsh names) are Lloyd, Rhys and Carys.

Those are very nice names for siblings. I think I'm leaning a little more to using Thomas, Evans or Llewelyn as a surname because of that but it's hard to avoid in Welsh surnames. Thanks for your input!

Either would work but I like this set the best:

Father: Bryn Lloyd (or Gareth Lloyd)
Mother: Elinor (Llŷr) Lloyd.
Daughter - Nerys Lloyd.
Daughter - Catrin Lloyd.

Daughter - Nia Lloyd.
Son - Geraint Lloyd (Twin with Emlyn).
Son - Emlyn Lloyd (Twin with Geraint).
Son - Iestyn Lloyd.
Daughter - Bethan Lloyd.

I changed some of the names around as you can see. I prefer the second family set without changes over the first set but I like the changed set better if that makes sense.
