[Opinions] Newborn twins
Just read a news article about newborn twins in Denmark. The boy, Silas, was born the last day of December at 23:59, while his sister, Annabelle, was born the first of January 00:01.
As for the names, I like Silas and dislike Annabelle. What do you guys think?

I don't like Silas but I do like Annabelle.

Silas is OK. Annabelle makes me think of that creepy doll from the movie.

I quite like both of them!

I like it, but would prefer Anabel.ETA: I guess there were a similar set of twins born (1 in each year) named Jaelyn (f) and Luis.

Silas is one of those familiar names because of literature but I've never actually met one. So I dunno. I get a country-bumpkin impression - Silas belongs on a tractor but not in an academic library.Annabelle in English is over-ornate. It's a bit ornate whatever you do to it, but the fake French -le does it no favours. Annabel is preferable. Cleaner-looking, more lively and pretty rather than over-dressed. I could see Annabel as a high achiever, but Annabelle would need (and want!) a rich spouse.

I like both names, and they go very well together.

I dislike both names. Silas is sneering and Annabelle is bratty (in my mind anyway)

Same here.

Annabelle is cute, but I don't like Silas - I always think of "sly" and "silly ass"

I like Annabelle well enough but am not particularly fond of Silas. Still, they're okay. I just don't think they mesh very well together. OTOH, Anna and Silas would complement each other nicely.
