[Opinions] Finnish names
Are there any Finnish people on here?
I was just noticing that my Finnish customer have names such as:
Kata-Riina
Tiina
Kristiina
And I was wondering about the double I. Is it pronounced differently? Is is used often?
And what do you think?

Remora is Finnish, isn't she?
I'm Swedish, but I know pretty well how to pronounce Finnish words.
The double I is common and it's pronounced like English "ee" (as in "free" or "see").
So the names are pronounced:
Ka-ta-REE-na
TEE-na
Kris-TEE-na
All the Finnish vowels can be "double"; there are also names like Aamu, Eeva and Joonas.
