[Opinions] Re: Tilda
in reply to a message by Puck
Like it a lot. My husband rooted for Matilda, nn Tilda. I preferred Mathilde, nn Tilly. I think it is just the right amount of spunky, but still sounds a bit antique and mature enough to pass as a grounded name. Matilda itself is both adorable and strong, so I think the overall choice of Matilda, nn Tilda just works. ______________________________________________

Though I also like Mathilde (the name of my host sister when I was an exchange student in France) -- the dark blue of the added "h" ultimately tries to extinguish the redness of the other letters for me, and the effect is less bold for me.

I am more of a blue-name type person if that makes sense. Nadine is baby blue to me. Matilda I can see in red. Never really thought about coloring names before, but I think it makes sense.
