The Prompt

In the Kingdom of: Gretalia
Quite a lot has happened in the past years. First of all, both Erasmos and Eirene got married - on the same day! Just a year after the wedding, Erasmos and Leonore welcomed a daughter - Princess Aurora. A year and a half after that they also welcomed a son - Prince Crispin.
However, it wasn't all joy in the Kingdom of Gretalia. Katerina passed away and the whole kingdom was in grief. A while later, Prince Nicolas got married to Isabelle. The people of Gretalia had always had a soft spot for Nicolas since he had to grow up without even meeting his father. People used to say that all bad things happened to him, and that they were sorry for him. When he got married to Isabelle people thought it was the end of his life of bad luck - and so it seemed when Isabelle eventually got pregnant with a baby girl and safely delivered her just two days past her due date. The baby - Thea - were a happy and healthy baby. Then suddenly one day she fell asleep, and she didn't wake up again. Nobody could explain it, but Prince Nicolas had once again been strucked with bad luck and an enormous grief. The loss of Thea affected the whole kingdom, but especially the Romelli family.

Alexandra, the oldest Ilocano grandchild, caused quite a stir when she began dating a commoner's son. Her parents are not impressed, but Alexandra doesn't care. Many years have passed and former King Peter of Sweden has died of old age. Queen Fredrika declared two months of mourning after her father's death. In accordance with his wish he was burried next to his late wife at the royal cemetery the whole country and especially children and grandchildren mourning their great loss. The years after his divorce from his second wife he was living in the country away from the public eye, yet he still remained very popular. Although Peter was gone, he remained alive in the hearts of his children and grandchildren for many many years.

While she had never enjoyed particularly robust health, she had lived her life fully, from her early years as a commoner, her marriage to Michele, her years as widow and regent, and finally her retirement after her son becomes Prince. The funeral held in her honour was simple and quiet, as she would have wanted it to be, and yet nearly the entire city seemed to be in attendance.
Neither Perotto nor Felipe ever married women, marriage not being as required of them than their companions, as befitting their station as illegitimate sons and spies at that. While they never made their relationship public, it was no longer secret within the Manco household itself. The family which had so readily welcomed Perotto when he was first brought into their fold now extends the same warmth towards Felipe. The two men still continue to do espionage and subtle work for Salvi, although with the reigning peace under Leonardo's time, they are rarely required to personally go hands-on, instead relying on their larger network of eyes and ears to feed them information.
