Of yours, I like:
Liv - I also thought this was LIV, with a short "i" but I recently learned it's LEEV. Too close to the word "leave" for me. But it's still cool, lol.

Liv is a Scandinavian formal name in itself, not a nn

Liv is indeed pronounced as "leave" and means "life".

But I guess Americans use it as a nn for Olivia, then pronounced with a short I-sound (Livv).

Leo and Lucy are also formal names in themselves. Lucy is not more a nn than Mary is a nn for Maria.

I knew about Leo and Lucy, but I was having a hard time coming up with examples. :b And they are sometimes used as nn's for Leonard/Leonardo and Lucille/Lucinda, respectively.

I also knew Liv was a name on its own, but I just "assumed" it was also pronounced with a short "i". :-/
