Five years have passed quite uneventfully. The kids are growing up quick and Qila has recently started dating a childhood friend. She's known him since she was very small, but it's only when they became teenagers that they became closer and closer friends. Matthias isn't sure about the kid, but he seems nice enough and Qila likes him so he's decided to let his daughter make her own decisions.

The Morgan family have had quite an eventful few years! Zéolie and Matthew have become parents. Their daughter was born a year ago, and it's still a bit of a shock for Zéolie. Fortunately she knows she can always turn to her mother for help - Mélissaire was a young mum and knows exactly what her daughter's going through. She wasn't very impressed when she found out her daughter was pregnant, but promises to support her no matter what. Matthew for his part wasn't happy, but has settled into the role of father with surprising ease and now dotes on his daughter.

Their daughter's first name took some compromising. They both wanted it to have a nature theme - a meaning to do with animals or flowers - and wanted it to be uncommon but not weird or unique. Zéolie wanted the name to be girly/feminine and quite long, but Matthew prefers short names so they wanted the name to have a short, snappy nickname too.

Meanwhile, Athénaïse has caused a stir in her choice of boyfriend. He's a changeling and five years older than her - both her parents think that's too large an age gap, especially since she's so young, but Athénaïse doesn't care. He's also pretty wild, wayward and troublesome and her parents think that this can only end badly.
He has an Irish first name and surname. His middle name is Welsh. His first name starts with a consonant, his middle with a vowel. He should have an unusual nickname which doesn't necessarily have to be derived from his first name.

Meanwhile, in the Tsekhanovetsky family, Leo has also started dating. His girlfriend is a Dhampir, that is, a half-breed between a vampire and a human. She's charming, intelligent and Dima and Orphne both adore her. They've been dating for over two years, and Leo's thinking about popping the question soon.
She's English/Albanian. Her first name is used in England more than it is in other English-speaking countries but could also work in languages other than English. Zaid, however, has already popped the question. He too has courted controversy in his choice of partner - he's smitten with a human girl. Being half-human himself, it's hardly surprising, but Dima is worried that inviting a human into a magical family is just asking for trouble and despite her being shy, soft-spoken and kind, he doesn't like her at all.
