I like Ruby, however at first I just see my friend's dog (I haven't met a person named Ruby yet), but I think it's a really cute name. I don't really have any type of experience with your situation, but I would probably consider using it.
Ruby Winifred is lovely! I usually don't like Winifred, but I love this combo. I like all the other combos except Ruby Zelda Margaret (doesn't flow for me).
