In the past three years Benedict and Rhiannon have happily watched their family expand. Home life for them is pretty quiet; Rhiannon enjoys gardening all weekend and she spends more and more time nursing now that the children are all settled. Sometimes she finds that her routine has her acting more like someone in their seventies than in their fifties, but she wouldn’t change it for the world. Benedict has become the jokester grandpa, apparating frequently to give his littler grandchildren some fun candy or exciting new present. He loves to brag to Septimus about his family. He constantly reminds him and Lisandra that they are not yet grandparents, and he is. The others marvel at how immature he can be.
Crispin and Betsy weren’t sure they wanted children, but that didn’t damper their jubilation when they found out that Betsy was expecting. Betsy has been working tirelessly to buy every toy possible for their baby daughter. Crispin has been struggling to get attached to the little girl, but he knows he will do anything for her. None the less, he has decided that he doesn’t want more children. Ever.
Saraphina and Karim live in a small cottage near the beach for most of the year, and travel back to Egypt every winter. Little Faris is turning out to be quite the rambunctious scamp already. He’s broken a few lamps, sustained several minor injuries, and nearly exposed magic on several occasions, but his parents love him more than anything in the world.
Ridge and Petronilla’s bakery is going strong. They’ve started a little cafe next door to the original place, and they’ve even catered a few parties and weddings. It’s said that a main customer attraction is the cute little kids that try to help serve food. Nebula-Rose (or Rosie for short) dotes on her little brother and now sister. It bothers her a bit that they hog all the attention, but they’re so cute it makes up for it.
Clara and Maude are still dating. They want to wait until they’re ready to make a commitment and they want to be in a good place financially when they do. Clara is currently exploring radio broadcasting, but she doesn't how profitable it’ll be in the long run so she’s holding off on major decisions.
Calanthe and Adrian are now happily married, and much to Rosemary’s delight they are expecting a child together. They are so happy that this child will grow up in a stable home, unlike Rosemary. Both Calanthe and Arian have been vying for some mother-daughter/father-daughter time before the baby arrives, but she’s gotten slightly exasperated by the both of them.
Anders and Eloise got married in a small ceremony last spring. It was a beautiful garden wedding with all the flowers in bloom, and love was definitely in the air. Eloise discovered that she’s expecting not too long ago, and the due date is exactly nine months after her wedding… Hmmm. They can’t wait to be parents.

Crispin and Betsy gave their daughter a frilly unusual first name. It’s a little too frilly for Crispin, so he has already set her up with a simple nickname that sounds more masculine than it does feminine. The middle name was all Betsy’s voice, so she made an effort to make it sound nice with the first and last names. Her surname is Hunter-Smith.

Ridge and Petronilla continued to give their children hyphenated first names. Their son has a classic name first then an astronomy name. Their daughter has the opposite order: first an astronomy name, then a classic name. They have also continued to honor family members in the middle name spot, though they don’t like using the exact name.

Calanthe and Adrian decided that Calanthe could pick the girl’s name if the baby’s a girl and Adrian could pick the boy’s name if it’s a boy. Calanthe wants a name similar to Rosemary’s in that it’s a spice or something of that ilk. For a middle, she firmly believes that short and sweet is best. Adrian wants to give a son a combination name (ex: Rose + Mary) and a recognizable Spanish middle name.

Eloise and Anders plan on traveling, so they want a location/landmark for a first name for either gender. They plan to let their parents choose the middle names: Septimus and Lisandra if it’s a boy, Benedict and Rhiannon if it’s a girl. Their parents have been having huddled discussions about the names, but no one has been able to listen in so far. Everyone just assumes that they’ll go with a name similar to the ones they used for their own children. The last name is yet to be decided.
