The Harper/Laurence Family (
Montana, USA)
Gf:
Amanda Nicole Laurence [29]
Bf:
Patrick Jason Harper [28]
D:
Susannah Marigold Laurence-Harper "
Sunny" [3] (glassmidnight)
D or S: [exp]
Ramona Iris Laurence-Harper "Romy" or Evander Lake Laurence-Harper "Van"
Amanda and
Patrick are expecting again three years after the birth of the daughter
Sunny. As before, they've decided not to find out the sex so they'll need a boys' name and a girls' name. The baby's first name does not rank in the US 2014 top 1000, but it's not totally unheard of or too difficult to spell/pronounce. A cute nickname like
Sunny would be nice too. If it's a boy, the middle name should be related to water and if it's a girl, the middle name should be floral. The baby's last name is Laurence-Harper.

Jamie Elizabeth [Barlow]
Garrett [31]
H:
Jordan Matthew Garrett [31]
D:
Josephine Claire Garrett "
Joey" [2] (SugarPlumFairy)
S:
Alexander Sean Garrett "Alex"
Jamie and
Jordan are expecting a baby boy. They're both pleased with the compromise they arrived at for
Joey's name. Their son should have a clearly masculine first name with a unisex nickname, and they would prefer that it not start with J.

The
Mitchell Family (California, USA)
Mom:
Laura Anne Mitchell [35]
AS:
Lucas Modesto Charles Mitchell [5] (Guatemala) (SugarPlumFairy)
AS: [3]
Victor Santiago Joseph Mitchell (Guatemala)
Shortly after bringing
Lucas home,
Laura got a call from her adoption agency saying that
Lucas' birth parents had recently placed their new baby for adoption and was she interested? Of course she said yes, so she and
Lucas traveled back to Guatemala to meet his younger sibling. The baby, a boy, is now three years old. His birth name is
Santiago and
Laura was undecided if she wanted to keep it up front or, like she did with
Lucas, move it to the middle and choose a different Spanish name as the new first name. You decide what she ended up doing.
If she kept
Santiago as the first name, his first middle name is Spanish. If she chose a new first name,
Santiago is his first middle name. Either way, his second middle name should honor either
Laura's mother,
Linda Mary, or one of her siblings,
Joseph Michael and
Beatrice Jane.

The
Chen Family (Ontario, Canada)
H:
Huang Chen [35]
W:
Jessica Lynn Bailey [34]
D/S: Hua-Ning
Chen "
Lily" / Bao-Zhi
Chen "
Robert" [4] (findthesea)
D: [nb]
Ya-Xue Chen "Emily"
Jessica gave birth to a daughter shortly after
Lily and
Robert turned four. She and
Huang are happy that their children have an English name for school and
Jessica's family to use and a Chinese name for
Huang's family to use, so they'd like to continue that with their newborn daughter. She should have either an English first name and two hyphenated Chinese middle names OR a hyphenated Chinese name with an English nickname. The two Chinese names should make a pleasant phrase together like Hua-Ning and Bao-Zhi.
The English name should not start H, J, L, or R. The Chinese names can start with any letter.

The Anderson/Katz Family (
Haifa,
Israel)
H:
Henry Noel Anderson [27]
W:
Rina Ayelet Katz [27]
D: [nb]
Shira Michal Katz
Henry and
Rina recently welcomed a newborn daughter.
Rina was born and raised in
Israel and
Henry is American. They met and fell in love while
Rina was studying abroad at
Henry's university, and after graduation
Henry moved to
Israel with
Rina.
Henry is a lapsed
Christian and
Rina, like many Israelis, is culturally but not religiously Jewish. They would like their daughter's first and middle name to fit in well with the secular Israeli community, which means avoiding most of the traditionally Jewish names that are popular in
America (
Miriam,
Esther, etc). You can find some modern Israeli names here:
