Can anyone find the origin and meaning behind the subject name "Asinia"?

I wasn't sure if this was a serious inquiry. Looking at the previous post, I surmise that its root meaning is "donkey" (which would be acceptable in an agrarian society, like Rome). More specifically, "donkey filly," if that's the correct phrase. Its negative connotations came later.
