It just doesn't sound like a name to me.
I was 12ish when I first heard this name, from the movie "Shallow Hal", and I liked it a lot. I still like it, maybe not as much though. I prefer the spelling Cadence. The spelling Kadence looks...cheap or something, I don't know. But I do think the name is beautiful. I also like it as a middle name.
I actually like it, but it's very trendy and I just can't see it aging well.
Personally, I really like this name.. despite the whole "ayden" trend in names now. I just really like the way the word cadence sounds, hah.
I really dislike it. It reminds me of the hours and hours I spent in marching band practice.
When I first heard it I just loved it but now it does nothing for me. To me now it's almost like Candace and I really hate that name. I don't think I would ever use it but I can see the inital appeal to the name.
Sorry, but I dislike it tremendously.

Word.
"Word"? What is that supposed to mean?

"Word" is just a semi-facetious way of saying "I agree"
.. guess y'all don't say that in Australia.
I think it started out in the 80s as some kind of rapper/hipster slang, "word up"? My memory is fading... someone younger could tell you better. Now it's just kind of facetious, rather than hip; all sorts of people say it in casual conversation.

Ahh, ok. I've never heard it before.

ACK! I hate this name, and its trendiness. Sorry. :(

I think Cadence is beautiful. Two things would put me off it though:
1) The trendiness of it. It's a new name that has soared in popularity, meaning it will end up dated.
2) It fits in with the trendy "ayden" sound, again meaning it will date.
It depresses me enormously to see it spelt Kadence, or God forbid, Kaydence. There goes any chance of Cadence ever being a classic.

I think it's a nice fresh-sounding word name with a lovely gentle meaning and sound. It lacks the theatricality of other new or revived word name usages, miraculously - that adds to its appeal. It isn't my style; it dovetails too, too well with the ultra-popular "aiden" sound in names. That gives me an impression of superficiality. I don't think I'd react that way on meeting a bearer of the name in 10-20 years though. I think it's very nice and decent, in fact the most pleasant of all the "aiden" sound names barring Aidan itself.
I absolutely do NOT like it spelled with a K. A word name in particular, should be rigidly spelled like in the dictionary, and gives me an impression of cringe-worthy childishness if it isn't.
And I don't like it on a boy at all. On a masculine person it would tend to suggest driving, bellicose percussion, rather than music.

I like it also but prefer Kaydence
Eh, it's OK. It's trendy, but not tryndee... I can tolerate it, but it's nms.
This is all supposing Cadence's spelled correctly, with the C. Word names should always be spelled as they are in the dictionary imo (excluding legitimate international versions), or else the name looks, quite frankly, illiterate to me.
I actually prefer Candice over Cadence. Candice is very similar-sounding to Cadence to my ears, yet is a much older, much less "lightweight" name to me.
