[Opinions] Eira
I really like the name Eira at the moment. I would pronounce it Air-uh
I would probably not use it on an actual child, but maybe in a story.
What middle names would you put with it?
WDYT?

I really like Eira, too.
Ay-rah, and Eye-rah, I usually how I've known it to be pronounced. I like Eye-rah, personally.
I think it is very usable on a child. I'd probably give her a more classic middle name though.
Eira Catherine
Eira Felicity
Eira Caroline
Eira Isabelle
Eira Nathalie
Eira Penelope
Eira Charlotte
Eira Margaret

I love it! It's one of my favorite names for a girl. I pronounce it ay-ra. That's the only pronunciation I like (eye-ra is Ira and male to me). Also, any another pronuciation wouldn't work well here.
I would most certainly use it in real life. I struggle with middle names for Eira but I think it needs a longer middle name, like Eira Josephine or Eira Octavia.

I absolutely love the name Eira, I have for quite some time now. I prefer the EYE-ra pronunciation, but AIR-uh is pretty as well. I think it has a lovely meaning with a pretty sound, great name in my opinion.
Some combos I like:
- Eira Elizabeth (if you like alliteration)
- Eira Genevieve
- Eira Brynn
- Eira Vivienne

I've heard it's pronounced as AY-ra or EYE-ra, and not like era (assuming you're using the Welsh name). I do love it as EYE-ra, though, and that's how I pronounce it when I look at it.
As for how you pronounce it, I'd think it'd be nice with some of these middle names:
Eira Felicity
Eira Josephine
Eira Magdaline
Eira Gwendolen (running off a Welsh theme)
Eira Clementine
Eira Natalie
Eira June
Eira Miriam
My suggestions would be to avoid middle names with an "AIR" sound (Mary, Caroline), two syllables (Eva, Julie) and starting OR ending with a soft "a" (Amelia, Maria). Good luck!

I instinctively pronounce it IE-ra, although both pronunciations are pretty. AYR-a has a more delicate sound, which I'm finding pleasant at the moment. I had a brief fling with this name years ago, I'd totally forgotten about it. :)
Wish I could remember some old combos! Some new ones...
Eira Enlli
Eira Glesni
Eira Heather - hmm, love
Eira Lark
Eira Lucy
Eira Willow
