[Opinions] Swedish princesses from Holmfrid (10th century) to Leonore (2014)

Sweden's newest princess, Leonore Lilian Maria, will be christened tomorrow and out of curiosity I decided to make a list of all Swedish princesses ever. Or well, no, because I only included "born" princesses of Sweden and not the ones who became Swedish princesses because they married Swedish princes. And I might have missed some. Oh well here are the ones I found.What era had the best princesses? :)Not sure if these first ones should be considered princesses but who cares about technicalities:

Sh*t, what a lot of princesses! But not exactly a big variation of names. Holmfrid made me giggle, since it's a male names nowadays! (Jag tänker på när de säger "Tjock-Holmfrid" i Så som i Himmelen...)I like:

Cecilia
Elisabet Sabina
Hedvig Sofia
Charlotta Eugenia Augusta Amalia Albertina - not wild about Augusta and Albertina, though...
and I also like Estelle and Leonore, but not their middle names.

I feel like Sweden is one monarchy that, despite upheavals in ruling family and other cultures marrying in, has stayed fairly consistent with naming. Kristina and Margareta variants appear from the beginning to the end, with a nice mixture of Scandinavian, Germanic, and Biblical influences. My favorites are Marianne, Ingeborg, Agnes, Magdalena, Eleonora, Lovisa, Josefina, and Dagmar. Princess Madeleine's full name is perfectly elegant, but I don't think of a Swedish princess when I see it because it's so very French. Leonora and Estelle are so adorable! Especially when they're dressed in their little mini national dress costumes.
