I couldn't find much information on Mèhiti, but it's a French Polynesian name, and may refer to an old name for a local district. You're right about Thylan; Thylane Blondeau's mother was the first person to use it in
France. She made it up from a Vietnamese name,
Thuy Lan. Interesting to see a male version, but too trendy for me.
