Would you pronounce as LEER-ah or Lie-rah?
I was considering this name as a contender, but realized this issue. I prefer LEER-ah, but if it wouldn't be pronounced that way, then I'll drop it from the list. I love the boys name Llyr (LEER), so maybe that's why I was assuming this to be the only pronunciation... it's how I've always pronounced the constellation as well.

LIE-rah. It's the only way I've ever heard it pronounced. I really like it - with this pronunciation though.

I would say LIE-rah. I wouldn't have thought of LEER-ah, but it could work too. I don't love it. Leer doesn't sounds very nice to me.

LIE ra, to rhyme with Myra. But I don't see why you couldn't pronounce it leera if you wanted to.

In the Phillip Pullman books it's LIEra, referencing her talent for talking her way out of trouble. And the musical instrument is always a LIER, not a LEER (goodness! Just as well!). I've only ever heard the constellation as LIER as well.

I say it Leer-ah. Either way is really pretty though.

I pronounce it Lie-rah. I think its prettier than way anyway.
