[Opinions] Mabel, Ruth, Falene
Ruth would be "Ruthie" most of the time. Falene pronounced "fuh-LEEN." And would you suggest/do you prefer a different spelling? I'm partial to Philene / Philena, also. _______________________________________

Mabel and Ruth are great, especially Ruth, it's one of my faves. Falene is nmsaa. It reminds me of "feline", as in a cat! Sorry, not a fan.

I like Mabel and Ruth and love Faline (yes, like the "Bambi" character) for the pronunciation you use. Also enjoy Felina.Mabel is sweet and white for me. Ruth is red, warm and friendly. Faline is white, very soft and feminine. The Philene/Philena spellings are feeling red to me, though.

I've never been a big fan of Ruth, I don't really know why. It just seems bland to me.I really like Mabel. I don't think I'd ever use it, but it is cute and very "Southern" to me.Falene is okay, I feel like I've heard it used before somewhere, but I can't remember where. I don't really like the way it looks. It does seem like it would be kind of dated, since it reminds me of Marlene, Darlene, etc.

Faline is the name of Bambi's girlfriend

I love Mabel.
Ruth is okay and Ruthie is cute.
I don't like Falene, it looks a bit trendy and reminds me of names like Darlene which I really don't like.

I like Ruth enough to use - lovely, elegant but also playful and alert. And I also like Mabel - probably more as a mn (I knew a Zoe Mabel - gorgeous) or shortened to May.Where did you find Falene? I prefer the Ph- versions, but not enough to use.

Faline is the named if Bambi's Girlfriend in the movie/novel. The name "Feline" is to be pronounced the same I think bit obviously most would just read it as "FEE-line." I believe Philene/Philena are of Greek origin - meaning "lover of mankind" ...from what I can gather
