Man, I used to watch "Murphy Brown" all the time but no one seems to remember it. I instantly thought of it when I read the subject line so I was surprised to see you mentioned it!
Because of that show if I met a girl named Murphy I'd probably be able to hold back my frown 82.4% better than if I weren't acquainted with it. It's a surname to me now and it seems kind of dorky for a first name. Murphy. Rhymes with smurfy. Heh, I don't know. I just feel like someone with a forever-congested voice would be named Murphy.
