A woman who's a good friend (from college) of a friend of mine, and with whom I've worked in the past, just had a baby boy. She named him Shemar Xavier.

WDYT? I would never use Shemar (which is like combining Shemer with Lamar), but I really like Xavier.

It's very mysterious, which I like, but Shemar seems very Arabic to me. I wouldn't use it, but I do wonder about his nicknames...
Shem? Mar? Shemmie?

Xavier is cool, but I prefer Xaver, even though I'd never use either of them.

I love Xavier. I don't think Shemar is all that great, but I feel like it easily could be much worse.

Shemar! Shemar, as in Shemar Moore! I think I might love him. He's like the most handsome guy ever. Really.

But..if it weren't for him, I wouldn't like the name. I like Xavier, though.

That might actually be where she got the name.

I think she's a "Criminal Minds" fan. Not 100% sure, though.

As soon as I saw the name Shemar, he's the first thing that popped into my head. Absolutely love him in Criminal Minds.
