[Opinions] Re: Edward

I like Edward in theory. It feels handsome and distinguished.
But in real life, I think he would be Ed or Eddie, which feel dated and lower class.
Ned is an interesting nickname. I like it. It was never really common and doesn't really have any namesakes so I feel it is wide open and can go in any direction in terms of style.
Edward nn Ned wouldn't make me think of Twilight, and I think it has been used enough that Twilight shouldn't be the only association. Maybe for a small demographic but I bet if you ask your parents or grandparents age group or younger kids, they won't think of Twilight.
