Honestly, I think it's one of my least favorite names ever. Maybe Gretchen and Morgan tie. The 'morg' sound is so atrocious. If anyone ever uses it I'd consider it to be too popular. Just hearing the name makes me frown.
But it also reminds me of Daria Morgendorffer, which is pretty neat. But not neat enough to kill my hatred for it.
I've known more female Morgans than male ones so I see it as truly unisex.

Positive influences always make a name better. I didn't know the German word for morning was so similar and that does make it a little more accessible but I still can't get over the 'morg' sound.
