They jumped at the chance, and were on a plane to Australia to bring Nova home within a week. Sophie's really excited that she's not the youngest anymore, and to have a little sister to play with, eventually. Sable starts middle school, Sophie starts Kindergarten.

They silently decided to call the orphanage in a few months to see if the girl had been adopted or not, and if she hadn't, that they would adopt her. And when they called back, Emery hasn't been adopted. Carsten and Winona sent the papers the very next day. A month later, Emery was on a plane to Los Angeles to join the Atchinson family! Lexa finds a kindred spirit in Emery when she finds out that Emery used to take gymnastics before her parents died. Emery asks if she can take classes at the gym, and Carsten and Winona think it's a great idea! Emery starts middle school.

When Winona brings her home, the kids immediately set out on the daunting task of finding the perfect name. And finally it dawns on them. Thalia Hermione Annabeth Primrose Isabella. Thapi or Thalia for short. She is named after their favorite book characters. Lexa starts high school.

The Atchinson's decide to make the trip to Disney World for the first time, (though they've been to Disneyland many times) for their last family trip before Seamus goes off to USC. The entire family travels to (insert city here) to witness her greatest moment. The US Team wins gold, and Lexa receives a silver medal on the uneven bars. When they get back from (city) they prepare for the new school year, Lexa being a senior, Nova starting Kindergarten.
