I pronounce it AM-broz (first syllable like "am," second rhymes with rose).
Sometimes I think Ambrose sounds warm, friendly, and intellectual. Other times, it comes off as snooty and pale in a sickly, too-weak-to-go-outdoors way. I like it well enough today.
