Help[Opinions] Aryeh
This name has been on my mind a lot lately (for a boy). What do you think of it and how would you pronounce it? Do you like the Arieh spelling better?

I know a girl name this, spelled Ariah, I think it's pretty on a girl, don't much care for it on a boy

I like the Aryeh spelling better. It looks like it could be masculine, especially because it reminds me of Aryan. I'd say it an awful lot like (but not identically to) Aria, though, and just hearing it spoken aloud I think I'd mistake it for Aria (fem). And it sounds like a question, too "Are yeh (you)?" So I'm not really enthusing, but it's not too bad.

I would pronounce it AHR-yuh (I live in the U.S.), or maybe ARI-uh. I think it's nice. How do you pronounce it?
I like the nickname Ari, which I guess would work better if you used Arieh (Ary look like it's be pronounced AIRY). I wouldn't personally use Arieh though because it looks like it might be pronounced more like uh-RYE-uh more than Aryeh does. It could also more likely be confused with the girl's name Aria than Aryeh (even though there's the Arya spelling too - Aryeh just looks like a very different name to me).
So I'd go with it! or you could also go with just Ari (I really like Ariel for a boy, but if you live in the west that can be problematic).
