Thoughts on this name? I'm not really worried about popularity but rather the first thing that comes to a persons mind when they hear it.

This is my little nephew's name! I'd never heard it before he had it. Now, I agree, it seems to be getting very popular (which I mainly attribute to the fact that it's been on a couple of TV shows).
I really like it, I think it has a great sound. We call my nephew 'Gray' most of the time, which I think is a pretty cute nickname, too.

The first thing that comes to mind is "trendy".

I think of the Grayson family from the tv show Revenge. It's kinda put me off the name, since now I think of rich, petty, think the world revolves around them individuals

A pretty blonde boy whose parents buy everything for him. He's loud, obnoxious, dismissive of authority figures (because his parents spoil him) and girlfriends (because he's a misogynist).
