[Opinions] Dalton
Do you consider Dalton "trendy?" I know it's similar to trendy names such as Dawson, Dayton, etc. but it doesn't have the same trendy feel to me. What do you think? And do you like the name?

It's a surname with two syllables and it ends with the letter "N", so it falls in line with currently trendy names. Despite its trendiness, I like Dalton. It has substance and strength.

Yes, I consider Dalton trendy. I also really dislike it. It seems weak and mushy.

I'm a little surprised nobody mentioned this, which is one reason I think I like the name so much: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Road_House_(1989_film)#section_footer

Dalton makes me think of this:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalton_Gang
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Daltons_(Lucky_Luke)In general, I do find it trendy, since it's a surname and ends in -on.

I actually don't think it's as trendy as names like Peyton and Hudson, I think it's quite nice.

Yeah, it's like Hudson and Ashton and Payton ... another trendy surname. NMS. Not terrible; dignified - but doesn't please me personally. I think I'd be likely to say it Dal'n since I spent 14 years in Texas, and .. eh. I don't like names with glottal stops. They sound slicked-up to me.
Reminds me of the SI unit for large molecular weights (scientists speak of the size of protein molecules in "Daltons" and "kilodaltons"). But that's specialized ...
Reminds me vaguely of the word "dolt," and that is what puts me off it the most.
Reminds me a little of Walton, too, like the Waltons ... which I never watched, but it gives me a "white/bread Americana" impression of the name. Not in a bad way, but it's something to say about it.My rating (so you know I am not totally trashing it, despite my negativity): 5/10, which is better than Isaiah, Atticus, or Cooper.

It's trendy in that it fits in with current trends. But the name itself isn't one I ever come across. Personally, I don't really like it because it seems like a surname to me.

It's definitely trendy, but there's something sort of dashing about it. It's a GP for me.

Well, it is a last name. I'd say it's trendy like other surname names. I know a boy named Daltyn. I'm not a fan of the name.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalton

I'd consider it trendy, what with all those other -ton names becoming popular. I'm not a fan, makes me think of daltonism.

I don't actually know any Daltons...wait, maybe I do, but I forget if he's Dawson or Dalton. He'd be about seven now, maybe.Yeah, Dalton is on the trendy side, at least it is in sound. I don't hate it but I sure don't like it either.
