I thought that they were both boys before I read the content of your post. Even if they were both boys, the names would clash, but Waylon and Santos clash even more as sister and brother names. I don't mind the names individually for boys, but I dislike them for siblings, and I don't like Waylon for girls.
Waylon and Sandy go together better than Waylon and Santos, but Waylon (girl) and Sandy (boy) are confusing sister and brother names. I imagine that people call the girl Sandy and the boy Waylon by mistake on a regular basis.
