[Opinions] Twins: Waylon and Santos
New kids at my school, are twins named Waylon (girl) and Santos (boy). He goes by Sandy. WDYT?

I think Waylon is nice (although I prefer Wayland) - on a BOY. It doesn't sound good on a girl.
I absolutely LOVE Santos, but Sandy sounds too feminine on a boy.

I really like Sandy, but when it's paired with Waylon, it just seems cruel. It's especially cruel if Waylon is a heavier girl... ugh. I'm already hearing jeers about "Sandy and the Whale".

child abuse (jk but it is bad)IMO It's very mismatched which bothers me but it isn't the end of the world, however Waylon for a girl is awful and then to name her twin Santos and give him the nn Sandy??? I know a Santos and unless they're Hispanic, native Spanish speakers, etc, then I can't imagine why they would use it. An with the nn Sandy it makes me wonder if they know it's prn "sahn tohs" and not "san tohs".Overall I think these people used their kids names as an opportunity to be cool or weird on purpose without caring how the kids might feel.

I thought that they were both boys before I read the content of your post. Even if they were both boys, the names would clash, but Waylon and Santos clash even more as sister and brother names. I don't mind the names individually for boys, but I dislike them for siblings, and I don't like Waylon for girls.Waylon and Sandy go together better than Waylon and Santos, but Waylon (girl) and Sandy (boy) are confusing sister and brother names. I imagine that people call the girl Sandy and the boy Waylon by mistake on a regular basis.

I'm thinking WTH! Waylon and Santos are complete mismatched. I'm not saying sibsets must match perfectly. These are just too diverse. In addition, Waylon for a girl is beyond redemption/tacky/ugly (choose one). Sandy can also be a feminine name and if I were told about m/f twins named Waylon and Sandy, I'd think Waylon was the male twin and Sandy was the female twin.BTW, I just mentioned this to my dh and he said Waylon and Sandy reminded him of a whale upon the sand. Whatever (eye roll). I don't think most people will go there, LOL.

I prefer Waylon for a boy. I can see why Santos goes by Sandy, since that's a hard name to live up to. Waylon and Santos are so different that it doesn't sound like a good sibset.

Waylon sounds horrible on a girl.
