[Opinions] Griffin
I know someone who named their baby girl Griffin. Personally, I don't like the name for either gender. What are you thoughts on the name Griffin for a boy or a girl?

Love Griffin on a boy, wish I had thought of it as a full name for my Finn, but he isn't really anything like a Griffin. Don't like it at all on a girl.

I like Griffin, but I think it's a very boy-only name. I like Griffin on a boy and Phoenix on a girl (very-GP twin names, anyone? :P)
I also like Gryphon (the really old spelling of griffin) but it looks to weird to most people. The "Griff" part of Griffin just looks a bit too 'tough' to me sometimes, and that's when I'd rather use Gryphon.

I actually quite like the name, but ONLY for a boy! It's terrible for a girl imo, as I think it's too masculine.

Griffin is great......for a boy.

I don't like it on either gender, though I find it somewhat more tolerable on a boy for some reason. It always makes me think of a little scruffy old dog with whiskers.

I kind of like Griffin for a boy. I wouldn't use it myself, but I don't find it bad. :)

I like it for a girl better than a boy but it reminds me too much of the Griffin family on Family Guy. And, to me, that isn't something I would want to go through life carrying.
