Antigone is red for me and I like it as a name but I can't shake the Oedipus association. I don't know, I just couldn't name my daughter after the daughter of someone who killed his father and married his mother and then went mad from it. I understand Antigone was kind of the martyr of the story but I just wouldn't really want the reference connected to my family. It's just that probably 95% of the people that recognize the name and pronounce it right are going to recognize it from Oedipus and the people who don't know will probably learn at some point. I don't know, just kind of one of those good names ruined by bad associations.
