My maternal grandfather has a cousin with this name. She goes by Gigi. I saw her yesterday at her 80th birthday party.

What do you think of the name Georgina? What about Gigi as a nickname?

Personally, I think it's pretty, and Gigi is a cute nickname.

It's decent, but I prefer Georgia by far. Georgina is a bit too frilly for me, but it's not extremely frilly.

Gigi is too cutesy. It sounds like a dog's name.

I love Georgina, and I think Gigi is a dazzling nickname. The image of an elderly Gigi celebrating her eightieth birthday delights me.

Georgina is one of the few times that I like the longer version of a variant. Usually I go for the less-is-more option, i.e., Georgia. But Georgina is so playful and frisky. I can't resist her. :-)

Gigi, Georgie, Gina, G -- all of the nns are sweet. Georgina, nn Gigi gets thumbs up from me.
