My brother is
Peter Damien, so I'm biased. But I've always loved it. It's dashing and romantic. Plus, I have the Father
Damien (should be a saint for dedicating his life to helping lepers and eventually dying from it) -- so it's only positive for me.
Damian is nice as well. I just prefer the
Damien spelling because of my brother, who's named after Father
Damien.
I've seen it popping up more and more. Like
Malachi, I think (fingers crossed) the pop culture references are fading. I only have to wait another whole generation (30 years) for
Ursula to make it back into the land of the usable . . . .
