Dixie is cute in an old-fashioned, country-girl sunbonnet way, but I don't really like it. It sounds like a failed honky-tonk singer with a bad dye job.
Ren as a nn for Laurence just seems too contrived and "quirky" to me. I don't like laurence at all, it looks stuck-up and pompous. I'm not that crazy about Lawrence either but I think that spelling is better.
I kinda like the name Larry. My stepfather is named Larry and hates it when companies sending mail to him assume his real name is Lawrence. It happens all the time. He went to school with four or five other Larrys and none of them was Lawrence.
