I find it a little boring myself. Its not that interesting to me, but it is a nice sounding name and I definitely don't think its an ugly name. I know a really lovely girl with this name so I have good associations. It is common but it is cute and there are worse common names out there.

I think the spelling should be kept at Courtney, it looks the nicest and its the one that most people would expect so it won't be hassle to correct people's spelling.
