Help[Opinions] Zoe/Zoey/Zooey?
What do you think of the various spellings of the name Zoe?
I like the classic Zoe, but my beau likes Zooey... He says it's a nod to Salinger (Franny and Zooey) but as far as I know that Zooey was a male. I haven't read that book, anyhow.
I think the name is recognizably female now, thanks to Zooey Deschanel.... who appears to have been named after the character in the novel.
I have seen Zooey and Zoey so many times that the plain Zoe almost looks incomplete now.
Are any of these forms either outstandingly preferable or completely horrible to you?
