Had to make a seperate thread for Rain, I just have too many questions about it.

Do you like the nn Rainie?
Do you know anyone named Rain?
Do you think it's a depressing/unhappy name?
How would you spell it? Rain Raine Rayne Rayn Reign?
Surprisingly I know quite a few people named this. A girl named Raine, boys named Rayne and Rain, a girl named Reign, one named Rain and a girl named Rainey.
Do the different spellings give you different images or colors? Rain gives me a very dark blue color whereas Raine is lighter.
What would a Rain be like and what would her parents be like?

How would you spell it? Rain Raine Rayne Rayn Reign? I prefer simple Rain. Anything with a 'y' or 'g' in is trendy and horrible. Raine is fine.

I've always had a soft spot for the name Rain. I think Rainy makes a very cute nn and I prefer that spelling.
I don't know of anyone with this name and I find it quite a happy, cheerful type of name actually, not depressing at all.
Rain is the only spelling I like.
I don't actually see different colours, because of the different spelling variations.
I also don't get a definite idea of what someone with this name would be like.

Sorry, but when I first read 'Rain', I had to think about Rising American Indian Nations, an organization here in Utah.
Not sure if I would like it as a name for a person.

I like Rainie (or Rainey / Rainy).

I don't think it's depressing/unhappy. It's calm and beautiful. It's more "happy" to me, because it makes me think of a girl dancing in the rain...

I love Rain, it's my DD's middle name and I sometimes wish I had used it for a first for another child.

It's a good name, I like Nature names.
Rainie..probably not a great nick-name, but one I at least would likely use, I tend to "ie" names.
