My son had a swim class with a little boy named Alden. It was a surname in their family, but I think it'd work as a name without that. It's not all that surnamey because it is similar to Allen. It didn't strike me as being similar to Aidan. I feel like it's a little too quiet and reserved for my taste in guy names, somehow, but it's nice.
