I do like both names, but I definitely prefer Abraham. I'm in Australia too and agree that Archie is popular, so that would put me off slightly. I think Abraham is a big name for a little baby, but we're adults for a lot longer than we're kids, so he would most definitely grow into the name. Bram is a very cute nn. I think it would be lovely to meet or hear about a baby Abraham!
