How do you pronounce Freya?
1) free-ah
2) free-yah (like Yasmin)
3) frah-yah
4) freh (like pet) - ah
5) freh (like pet) - yah (like Yasmin)

In France, we say 5).

#5 for me too.

BTW it would be written as Freja if used in Hungary as well (I've never ever seen it though on a real person)

#5 is, I believe, roughly the same as FRAY-ah. FREH-yah. Am I missing something, or aren't these the same?
That's how I say it too.

I like the spelling that pronounces easily in the language of the bearer. In my own case, Freya. In Charlie's, Freja.

Sorry to say it but I dislike that spelling, Freya, of it. It just seem plain wrong to me.

Reason:
I'm Danish and the most common way here is Freja. Prn as the mentioned Freya, which we also have. But Freja follows the Nordic Mythology's spelling way correctly, and the spelling Freya don't do that.

So sorry again. I'm just true to that Scandinavian blood which is running through my veins...
