This is a typical NTNB, except that the year is now 2109 and the trends are slightly different. Below is an example of 2109 trends in baby names to help out with each family.
In general, parents are finally fed up with the unique-word-name trend. However, there are some word-names that have become so commonplace as to seem usual/typical/normal/okay. Names that were popular in the early 1900s became the standard set for
the parents of this generation. The most popular names (the ones that came back early and strong) from the 1900's are currently the
least trendy. However, the names that had a slower buildup or just didn't see as much use are still considered fair game. Names that were popular in the 1940's/1950's/1960's are the current favorites and one of the most popular trends. Other current trends include unique nicknames as first names, unusual occupational names, and a return to names
from or about medieval times. Finally, the most obnoxious trend (to many name-lovers at least) is giving girls names that were popular boys names in the 1940's/1950's/1960's.

The Jones Family
DH: Durward Elden Jones
DW: "Emmy" Emblem Eloise (née Labelle) Jones
DD: "Trixie" Patricia Eleanor Sailor Jones [NurseMom75]
DS: "Archie" Architect Emmanuel Ralph Jones [Ninor]
DD/DS: _____ "E*"____ _____ Jones / _____ "E*"____ _____ Jones
At the beginning of this latest pregnancy, Emmy started digging into the Labelle family and Jones family genealogy. She was thrilled to discover that there was an Eleanor on both family's trees, a Ralph in the Labelle family tree, and a Patrick and Immanuel in the Jones family's tree. She also discovered an interesting trend of animal names and has completely fallen in love with the idea. When she found out that she was pregnant with twins, she decided that each of them having an animal name as one of their names would be a great link between the two of them. Here are Emmy's and Durward's requirements for the baby names:
DS's FN should be an unusual occupational first name
Both 1st MNs should start with "E"
Both twins should have an animal name at some point
Any other names should
EITHER have been popular in the 1940's/1950's/1960's but still have some occasional use since that time and is a recognizable name
OR be a name that fits with the current trends of nickname or occupational name or medieval name (note: Emmy REFUSES to use a masculine name for her daughter).
The Davis Family
DH: "Cord" Corduroy Hoyt Davis
DW: Rosalina Mollie (née O'Reilly) Davis
DS: Abbott Letholdus Davis [Loki]
DD: Kathleen Iseut Davis [AnnaMarie]
DD: _____ _____ Davis
Cord and Rosalina are once again expecting a daughter. They, once again, want to embrace the current trends, but Rosalina would (once again) really love a "princess-like" first name for their daughter (and refuses to even consider anything that were previously a popular boys names!). Their DD's FN should be a name that was popular-heard in the 1940's/1950's/1960's, but declined in use since then, and should have a very feminine feel. Her MN should should be related to medieval times
OR be something related to elves/sprites/magic/etc.
The Lobo Family
DH: Otis Steven Lobo
DS/DD: Dick Alexander Maradona Lobo / Troy Angela Maradona Lobo [Aderyn Azula / JN316]
DS: Buzz Christopher Maradona Lobo [Aderyn Azula]
DD: _____ _____ Maradona Lobo
ExW: Heather-Hadley Merche Maradona
Dbf: _____ _____ Crocetti
Otis and Heather-Hadley have another daughter. Once again, Heather-Hadley gave their daughter a their DD a FN a name (not nickname) that was a popular boys name in the 1930's/1940's/1950's. Once again, Otis picked out a MN that, while popular in the 1930's/1940's/1950's, is still pretty, timeless and classic and feminine for their DD.
Just as their DD was turning 3 months, Heather-Hadley up and ran off. At first, Otis was frantic. He was sure that Heather-Hadley must be suffering from a server case of postpartum depression and might be wanting to hurt herself. However, a few weeks later papers for a divorce was delivered to his doorstep. It turns out that Heather-Hadley had met a 19 year-old college boy and decided that she loved him and couldn't stand Otis.
The divorce was pretty quick... Heather-Hadley was brutal to Otis just to prove how much she couldn't stand him. However, that backfired on her when the judge looked at past behavior (abandoning her family to run off to an island get-away/vacation - all of her malicious behavior to Otis - general attitude during court and skipping some of the court appointments) and gave sole custody to Otis. Heather-Hadley is allowed visitation, but hasn't really taken advantage of it much.
Heather-Hadley has dropped her married name, and Otis legally changed all of the children's last names to his alone (however, he left Heather-Hadley's surname as a second MN to show the connection and because he didn't want his children to lose that).
Heather-Hadley's BF's FN is Italian and his MN invokes "toughness".
